Classical Guitar Composition Project – seeking expressions of interest from composers

Canberra Classical Guitar Society

and

Wesley Music Foundation

In 2010, Canberra Classical Guitar Society and Wesley Music Foundation launched The Classical Guitar Composition Project. We are pleased to announce that donations of over $2,000 have been received to date. We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from interested composers of music for classical guitar ensemble.

The aim of the project is to commission two works for amateur guitar orchestra with the intention of supporting two young, aspiring composers in the Canberra region and to increase the repertoire of music for guitar orchestra and specifically for the Canberra Guitar Ensemble (made up of members of Canberra Classical Guitar Society).
